Karen Boen - Director of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country /Track & Field - Stonehill College. Not many coaches in the country can boast of the accolades that Karen Boen has put on her resume since arriving at Stonehill a decade ago. Now in her tenth season at the College, Boen has brought the men's and women's cross country and track and field programs to national prominence, collecting countless conference, regional and national awards along the way. Under her tutelage, seven men and women have gone on to earn All-America honors in cross country and another 14 in men's and women's track and field. She has collected a combined 10 Northeast-10 Coach of the Year Awards and eight more NCAA Northeast Region Coach of the Year Awards. |

Shawn Green (UNH '96) enters his first year as Academic Support/Compliance Assistant. He joined the Wildcats in the fall of 2010 after serving as the head coach for the men's and women's cross country/ track teams for nine years at Quinnipiac University, and most recently was the men's cross country/track & field coach at Southern Connecticut State University for a year. He splits his time in the academic support and compliance departments.
Green made an immediate impact in his only season with the Owls. He led the squad to Northeast-10 Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships, as well as a fourth-place finish at the New England Indoor Championships. The Owls were the top Division II finisher at New England's indoors in 2010.
Prior to his year at SCSU, Green had served as head men's and women's cross country/track and field coach at Quinnipiac from July, 2000 to July, 2009. During that span, he transformed the cross country programs into a juggernaut, as evidenced by four consecutive Northeast Conference women's cross country titles (2005-08) and four titles in five years on the men's side (2004, 2006-08).
A three-time Northeast Conference Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year, Green also guided the women's cross country squad to the 2007 New England Championship.
In his 10 years at Quinnipiac, Green coached 32 individual Northeast Conference champions and nine NEC champion relay teams. He also coached the Bobcats' first female Division I All-American in any sport, Katie Gwyther.
The academic accomplishments of Green's squads were equally as impressive. His squads were recognized with Academic All-America Team honors by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on 34 occasions (out of a possible 36) over the past nine years. The 2004 men's track and field and 2007 women's track and field teams posted the second-highest team grade point average of any Division I program in the nation.
As a student-athlete, he competed for both the UNH and Michigan State University. Green was a captain at UNH and led the Wildcats to a pair of North Atlantic Conference titles. He completed his track and field eligibility at Michigan State. |

Dan Ireland - Head Men’s Cross Country Coach - Yale University. Dan enters his tenth year as coach of the men's middle distance and distance runners. He joined the Bulldog staff in January of 2000 and made an immediate impact on those areas and to the cross country squad. The 2007-2008 school year was yet again another successful campaign as the Bulldogs once again made numerous additions to both the Indoor and Outdoor All-Time Lists. In addition, the Elis had great success at the Ivy League and IC4A Championships as Ireland's runners garnered over a dozen All-East performances |

Ed O'Connor - Dean of Health Sciences, the former Head Men’s Cross Country Coach at Quinnipiac University. Ed coached the Quinnipiac University men's cross country program for 16 years. He is a five-time NEC Coach of the Year being honored in 2003, 2004, 2006 ,2007 and 2008. O'Connor oversaw the program's upgrade to Div. I in 1998 and won his first NEC Championship in 2004. In that same year, his student-athletes took the top two spots at the meet. His teams have also performed admirably in the classroom. Quinnipiac has been named an Academic All-American Team for 8 of the past 9 seasons. In January of this year, Ed announced that after 10 years of organization, Quinnipiac University will opening a Medical School at there North Haven, CT campus. |

Jason Saretsky - Director of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field - Harvard University. Jason enters his third season as the director of men's and women's track and field and cross country at Harvard in 2008-09. During Saretsky’s first two seasons at the helm of the Crimson, Harvard has had two All-America performances, two NCAA qualifiers, 10 NCAA regional qualifiers, eight
Heptagonal champions, 10 school records and 74 marks added to the program’s top-10 list. |
